I came across a couple of good articles on ways to find bail money and a resource to find self storage in San Diego.

I have never needed bail and hopefully will never do because I am a good person but I have a couple of freinds who have gotten in trouble and one of them did in fact call me a couple years ago because he was in a bar fight. Excited About Working With Alibaba Hookah lounge

I don't want to talk business but I am very excited about partnership with Alibaba's Cave which is a hookah lounge in San Diego.

That place seems to keep pulling me back. After my first break up with my fiance, I went there to socialize and meet people and get over it. Then I moved to LA, met someone else, and this time I ended up that relationship simply because of many differences I had with that person and her family and my goals in life, so I moved back to my getaway town, San Diego again. Not to meet anyone or anything, but kind of to focus on myself again, and pick up my business and continue education. It's one place that gives me peace and allows me to be me.

While studying and focusing on myself, my intellects, and my career and education, I am also doing SEO consulting to see if there is any potential. I have picked up a couple of different clients here in San Diego but Alibaba's Cave is by far my most favorite one. The deal I closed with them is combination of payment and trade, and trade if my favorite part. good food food, hookahs, and drinks. Yum. Life is going to be good again.

Self storage auctions are when storage units are abandoned by the tenants for a long time and then facility owners end up auction the unit for the amount owed and people who bid on content on the self storage, usually take a blind bid and sometimes like this, they just get lucky.

Good has launched Google Adwords Express for local search marketing helping local small businesses. This is good news for small business who were complaining that they couldn't afford the general adwords program so this program was to address that concern.

I tried that for a client of mine San Diego Self Storage this morning and I was able to get some good traffic from it. The adwords express targets local audience when they are searching for product and services. Even Google maps shows the advertiser with a blue pin among the red pins so the the advertiser stands out.

It is yet too early to say if this is the best solution for local small businesses but it is for sure a step in the right direction.

I have turned my SEO blog into an SEO consulting firm in San Diego since there is much potential in San Diego.

This great county is filled with small businesses that want to advance and have vision to be successful online. The other day I met with a taco shop owner who just opened shop and he wants to be found in local directories and Google places and Yahoo and Bing local. After talking to him, I realized he doesn't have a website so I offered him a free website then offered online marketing for him.

I have been doing a lot of local seo recently and I came to a very good and brief local SEO tip article that I found educational and learned something new.

The article was basically claiming that the more name and address of a business of an address is repeated, the better it will rank for local searches. The article uses Santa ana Bad Boys Bail Bonds as an example and stated the following is a perfect citation:

Looking for local storage in San Diego

I am moving to San Diego for a job change and although I haven't found a place to live yet, I managed to storage my stuff in a San Diego Self Storage shop. It is working out fine. I am paying no rent the first month then I pay around $40 each month until I find a place.

I'm out shopping for kitchenware and cookware again. Searching the web I come across many online shops but the cookware selection of one site stands out. What stands out is the price of cookware selection. Premiumum brands and quality are high while the prices are very low. Almost like there is a catch.

I like shopping for kitchenware online. You can be in your PJs, drinking your coffee (or beer), and shop and a few days later your item is by your house. Talking about Coffee, I also shop my coffee online. I usually purchase whole beans, and brew it at home. This time I tried Jamaica Blue Mountaint Coffee, and that's another good organic coffee by Marley Coffee that is becoming very popular and it tests simply great.

Sen. Edward Kennedy Backed Obama

Life - I have been kind of indifferent about the primaries becasue I usually find them boring and wasting of my time (and supporters money)

The only elections I usually sort of follow are the final round presidential election and even then I usually don't care much about who wins. The reason for my indifference is the system itself.

However this year's primaries are getting a bit interesting. Obama vs. Clinton war of words are really fun. They are exposing each other's past mistakes (and perhaps corruptions) like there is no tomorrow. Members of the same party exchanging sharp and sometimes insulting words...just way too fun to miss!

So I am going to keep track of boxing round . and see if Hillary's experienced husband (experianced in every way...if you know what I mean..LOL..) can help her win this boxing match or will Obama's black brotherhood kick the Clinton's ass?

Well, we just have to wait and see.

David Beckham is Bad for The Enviornment

Soccer - David Beckham is not only recognized for the world's richest soccer player, his crosses, his freekicks, or his wife, but now he is also recognized as the "biggest environmental threat" writes Robert Burns from FoxSoccer.com.

British environmental group Carbon Trust claims that David Beckham produces 63 tons of carbon dioxide yearly. They are judging this number simply because he travels so much due to his multiple team obligations, and his other professional and personal obligations.

I find this group very humorous. Because they are ignoring the fact that David usually travels with his team not alone and he is not the only person that wastes so much energy. What about the secretary of states and foreign ministers of country, and other politicians who travel often. What about international business men and women and most important of all, US and British military? I mean WTF, if I have to name one person as biggest threat to the environment would be our own president, Mr. George W. Bush for his multiple random wars and never ending military operations.

Here is the reason behind this. British people are pissed that David Beckham preferred sunny weather of southern California over the cloudy and rainy weather of UK. Or the fact that David Beckham couldn't lead England to Euro 2008. Or the fact that he is the richest footballer ever lived. I say live the guy alone. He is the person you made him to be so stop complaining. Let him make his money and enjoy his life.

Real to Waste Time No More

Soccer - Today I was reading Fox Soccer website there was news on the sporting director of Real Madrid Predrag Mijatovic admits so much time has been wasted in aquring Manchester United's Cristiano Ronaldo and Arsenal's super midfielder Fabregas since several previous attempts have failed so he is not planning to waste time no more.

My opinion, these players are good at the team and league they play for and both of their teams are big enough to handle them. And it appears Predrag Mijatovic also sees that too as he acknowledged that fact too in the article so good to hear these players staying in EPL. My opinion is that Real Madrid needs to go after La Liga and Serie A talents so he can get players that can adapt into Real's style of play fast enough.

I think Real should look into brining KAKA from AC Milan. That would be a type of player that Real can use easily and he can fit right it. He is Real Madrid ready ;)

How Google Treats NoFollow Links

SEO: NoFollow links are increasingly becoming common when webmaster code their pages to link to external pages or some of their internal pages. According to Google, if there is a rel=nofollow on a link, basically that link is ignored by the Google web crawler.

However since I have not been fully convinced by that statement, I tried to do a little test of my own to see how that really works. Check out Google and NoFollow Links post of mine on my SEO blog.

Old Men Can Fight Too

Boxing: Roy Jones, Felix Trinidad went at this two days ago for a 12 round fight which Roy won the fight by unanimous decision. He managed to knock Flexi down twice, in the 7th round and the 10th, both of the knock downs both of them could have been avoided.Flex got hit in the head with a short punch and after literally 5 seconds he decided to fall on the ground. The second knock down Felix got his too but he was off balance so that was the main reason he fell.

Anyway, Roy threw out less punches but landed more and after those two knock downs, and with help of unanimous decisions, he won the fight but hats off to Felix too for putting up a great fight after over 3 years of retirement and the fact that he seemed alot more our of shape than Roy.

It made it worth watching and for those of us that paid, they aren't complaining either so I guess old men can fight too!

Soccer: It seems that Thierry Henry, the former Arsenal striker now playing for FC Barcelona is slowly letting go of his past emotions and settling in Barcelona. Mayweather De La Hoya Rematch

Boxing: According to USAToday, Mayweather and De La Hoya are nearing a rematch of their May 2007 boxing match where De La Hoya lost to Mayweather by split decision.

I was expecting that because both De La Hoya is a great fighter and he is not the type that go out like that. At least not by split decision. And Mayweather has something to prove too. That the last fight which he won was well deserved.

There is also a possibility that Floyed Mayweather maybe training De Lay Hoya again. He is father of the Floyed Mayweather Jr. and has been a trainer of De La Hoya for a long time but didn't train him the first fight out of respect for his son.
All I know is that I expect a better and more aggressive fight this time and possibility of a KO.

Is Facebook really Wroth 3 Billion Dollars? They better be after the fact that the owner of the site, who lives in a one bedroom apartment by the way, turn down a $750 million buy out.

There are many figures on the net about how much is this company actually is worth, I see $1 Billion, $3 Billion, and even some guy believes they are worth $8 billion!

Facebook is a social networking site that that was launched in 2004 and has grown rapidly that offers free membership and free services to their members. Their business model is the old school internet advertising but unlike the .com days, it is as targeted as possible so it works.

Now I am not sure if those numbers are correct but I do know that does bring us up to probably the most important online marketing success; Targeted advertising. More Reasons to Eat Organic

I was reading CNN.com headlines today and saw a headline on " FDA OKs meat, milk from most cloned animals". I find this news disturbing because I have no faith and trust in FDA. FDA has been accused before of corruption before.

Even without FDA's past correuption charges, I still believe the issue of cloning is too unknown to us human. We still don't understand the consequences of cloning animals to their own health and environment, let alone consequences of consuming them and their products.

So why risk it? Eat Organic. It is all about your health. Forget the politics behind this and your loyalty to your affiliated political party. Your health is most important. And don't worry about the fact that organic food maybe too expensive. . Eat less but each good. Its better for you anyways as there are many other reasons on why to eat organic food. Nike Sucks

And soon Adidas and other brands will suck too just like how Nike does. As you may know, I am the president of Soccer Shop LLC, which is the parent company of Soccer Nation. The other day a coach came in and asked for a dozen Nike T90 Soccer Balls. These balls are retailed at $40 and sell them on our website and in our store for $34.95. Since he was a regular customer and he wanted more of these balls, I gave him additional extended discount and offered to sell those to him for $25 each. That is a huge discount however he expected them for $20 each. That is below my cost and I told him that but then he told me that is how much Nike is offering those balls to his high school.

I was shocked as I was unaware that Nike sells to schools directly. Up until now, I was under assumption that they direct their customers to their dealers like us. I know on their website they sell stuff but that is usually clearance stuff or for new stuff it is full retail with no discounts.

Anyway I lost that sale and I was not too happy about it, so I called my Nike guy and he told me that Nike has this program where Nike does business with high schools directly bypassing their own dealers. In other words Nike competes with their own dealers when it comes to high school business.

Pretty messed up isn't it? I mean team business is the bread and butter of soccer stores and smaller sports stores. So if you own a soccer or small sport store, you can kiss your major team business goodbye. Because it is just matter of time that Adidas, Puma, Reebok, Diadora, Umbro, and Lotto, Joma, and other Nike competitors will start implementing similar type of programs.

Thanks to Nike, for pushing and driving the market that way.

Canada is not a soccer nation. But is US?

I ran into this article that I found interesting. Article title is "Canada sadly is not a soccer nation" the author complains about state of soccer in Canada.

He vents about how people only enroll their kids in soccer programs but end up watching ICE Hocky at the end and most TV programs don't even show the game and people don't really care.

I found this article extremly interesting because this seems to be the issue here in US too. Average sport fans in US talk about Sunday NFL games, Monday night football, NBA, baseball. ESPN shows more poker. But there is a difference between US and Canada. And that are more immigrants who love soccer who live in United States, or come to US every year. Take the Hispanics as an example. They love the beautiful, or futbol as they call it and their passion for the sport is never ending.

Since US is more close to Mexico, the passion of soccer is coming cross the boarder, and the MLS cooperation with the Mexican league, and creating interliga is raising the standards of American soccer. Also arrivals of many soccer stars such as David Beckham to LA Galaxy, and Blanko to Chicaco fire, are all signs of that US is a becoming a true soccer nation.

I Don't Care for The Presidental Primaries

If you have been watching the news recently, there has been much news coverage on US presidential primaries.

As much as I love democracy and electing a president is probably the most ultimate right a citizen can have in a democracy, I am not too optimistic about the outcome of the presidential primaries because they are simply biased and unfair.

I mean here they are, supposedly the colleagues and friends of the same party going at it, putting each other down, even banning one another from private debates so they can get ahead.

For example Obama and Hillary are going at it on the democrat site and Ron Paul and rest of the republican candidates accuse each other of not being true republicans. Dennis Kucinich gets banned from ABC presidential debates, and Dr. Paul gets banned from Fox News debate.

If these candidates really cared about America, American people interest, or even their own party, why are these candidates so quite (and frankly even happy) when a fellow candidate is banned from national debate? Why bashing one another just to get ahead? Why not embracing their political agenda and unite for a better America?

So it is fair to say that I doubt the motives of all of these politicians, the debate hosting media, any everyone involved so I really careless about it.

Hello all and wish you had a happy new year. For 2008, I think I am going to go back to the old format. I am going to start blogging pretty much about everything that interests me. I love sports beyond soccer so don't be surprised to see some posts about other sports and our door events such as Basketball, Boxing, or even Kayaking.

Also will drop non sport related posts here too. Posts about everyday life, technology, business, politics, whatever. Main focus will still be soccer because it is the sport I love and religiously follow. But for a chance you may see some non-soccer related or even non-sport related posts here too.

Last Post of The Year 2007. Welcome 2008

This is going to my last post for the year 2007. Some exiting developments in soccer world happened this year, my favorite one was Sepahan of Iran making it to club world cup championship, Arsenal's strong appearance in EPL ending the year on top of the table, and of course David Beckham coming to US. The biggest disappointment was of course the Englishmen not making it to to Euro 2008 but life goes on.

I am looking forward the year 2008 because of Euro 2008. It is going to be a very competitive tournament. I think the favorites are Spain and Italy. Although Holland is a strong side too and and they are long over due for a major title. Of course Germany and France are among European powerhouses too and can create wonders. Croatia is going to be a good side too, considering them beating England in England.

As far as business concerned, thank God we have a good Christmas shopping season at the soccer store. It helped us pay a few big bills and to re-invest into our business and get ready for Euro 2008. I am looking forward a good online sale of soccer jerseys for Euro 2008. So don't forget to buy your jersey ;).

I will start putting posts again on the new year, with a slight change to this blog. The soccer posts will continue but you will also see occasional posts about daily life and technology. I figured I give a little life to this blog since after all it is my personal blog.

Ronaldinho and Deco Will Be Benched Against Real Madrid Game

I have a lot of respect Frank Rijkaard and always liked him both as a player and as a coach. While being part of Holland team back in 1990s, he made wonders and now coaching Barcelona, he had brought both the Spanish La Liga soccer title as well as European Champion's league title for them. He knows what he is doing. It seems that his strategies and methods have worked very well for Barcelona so far.

According to Goal.com, he is set to bench two of his stars, Ronaldinho and Deco for the upcoming classico game against Real Madrid. Both players have fell out of fitness and have been benched the last few games.

But I think he is really pushing his chances too far by Benching both Ronaldinho and Deco against the classico game against Real Madrid. Lack of fitness according to today's standards don't necessarily mean that players are literally out of form or out of shape. It can simply mean that they have not done as great as expected in past few games and during the practice sessions. Perhaps that is due to fatigue, recovering from injuries, or personal problems.

Great players such as the two time world soccer player of the year Ronaldinho, and the power shooter Deco, are not like other average players and often don't allow their slight lack of form prevent them from creating magic. And that is exactly what Barcelona is going to need against the the La Liga powerhouse Real Madrid. Real Madrid are not an easy side to beat simply by placing good coaching tactics. To beat this team, each team need special players with skills, heart, and experience. And both Ronaldinho and Deco are among those special players that Barcelona is lucky to have. So starting them off the bench in such important game, in my humble opinion, could be an obvious mistake.

I Am Officially Over England Coaching News

I am at this point over England now that it is known that Fabio is their new coach. He is a great coach and I think his resume proves that. Of course England media is hot about this and will be talking about this for months and years to come but that is mainly because they have nothing better to do. After all they did not make it to Euro 2008 so they have nothing better to do or analyze so they are going to over reanalysis picking Fabio as England's next manager. But I am not going to follow the English media Hype no more. They have their coach, and my humble opinion is that he is a very capable and competent coach and if England can not get results with him, they maybe it is the English who lack not the coach.

With that note, I am going to leave England behind for a while (until something really big comes up). I am going to put more focus on teams that actually made it to Euro 2008. It is going to be a competitive one so stay tuned and enjoy the ride!

Cappello Confirmed the New England Boss

Per Associated Press, the Italian Fabio Capello has officially been offered the England job by FA.
Fabio that was a successful coach at AC Milan, Juventus, and Real Madrid, lost his job as Real Madrid head coach despite winning the title for them. even though he had many offers from other teams, he waited to find the right offer and it seems that the England job maybe the type of job he wanted.

FA board as approved Fabio to be the next England boss but as of now there are no contracts have been signed. However the final negotiations are expected to be finalized soon perhaps later today or coming days and Fabio is expected to be the next England soccer team manager.

Jose Mourionho Rejects FA Offer for England Job

Once he was reported as almost begging FA to talk to him for the available England job, the unemployed Jose Mourionho has reject FA's 50 million Euro offer for five years as England manager according to Gol TV.

Jose left Chelsea FC earlier this EPL season, as disputes between him and Chelsea Russian owner, Roman Abramovich, grew even more when both side agreed to cut his contract short. He has been without a job since his departure from Chelsea and there were reports that he made it clear to media he could be interested in the England job. Over the weekend, he flew to England to talk to FA officials, and the word is that he received a 50 million Euro offer, but it has been reported that he has rejected that offer. No specific reason has been specified however there are rumors that he is also talking to the Italian super club AC Milan.

Fabio Capello, former Italy national team and Real Madrid coach, is currently talking to FA for the job but as of now, England national team seems to be without a head coach.

Chelsea and Barcelona Agree on Ronaldinho Transfer

I read on Fox Sports that Chelsea and Barcelona have reached an agreement to transfer Ronaldinho, the Brazilian soccer super star and two times best soccer player of the world to Chelsea FC. Fox Sports source was RivalsDM and Spanish daily Marca, although the news is somewhat surprising, but there has been rumors of such move for months and it seems that it is finally going to happen.

I am personally a bit uncertain about this move the motivations behind it. I mean other than huge financial deal, I don't really believe such transfer makes any technical sense for any side. Chelsea already has plenty of great players, and Ronaldinho's style of play does not fit the fast pace EPL style so he is going to have hard time adapting and he may spend some time on the bench. And Barcelona will also lose because they are going to be loosing their best player, who lead them to European Champions League cup in 2006.

As I mentioned earlier, it seems and money is driving this deal. Ronaldionio will sell millions of jerseys for Chelsea, he will probably get a huge salary raise and bonus, and Barcelona will cash in for transferring him. It's professional football and a its main goal is profit and being a business owner myself owning a soccer store, I think I can agree with business side of it.

Soccer Club Owners Careless About Winter Transfer Window

Benitez, the Spaniard who coaches and manages the English soccer club Liverpool, has criticized the American owners of the club of that they don't fully understanding the importance of the winter transfer window. The American owners have told Benitez to work with the players he has and there won't be any new players during that time. As the result this started conflict between Benitez and the American owners.

But this does not seem to be limited to the Yanks. Today Spaniard president of Spanish giant soccer club Real Madrid, Ramon Calderon said that club was not going to bring in or sell any of the current players for the open transfer window in January. He did not mentioned why but this is what he said
"It's not necessary for anyone to come in," Calderon said Tuesday. "Neither will we give away any players."

In seems that winter transfer window is becoming less important among the club owners and presidents and mainly I believe would be due to club’s business strategy more than anything else. From business prospective it makes perfect sense. Brining important players mid season will cost clubs big money will not return as much because they can’t sell enough soccer jerseys of the new player(s) and can’t bank enough on the new player(s) during that short period of time they have. The rater have those big player for entire season from beginning to the end, where their investments in that player will make sense from business and financial prospective.

Therefore for a while we may see a battle between soccer coaches versus owners and presidents of the clubs. And of course in today’s soccer world, money rules so I can only predict the obvious, that the soccer club owners and presidents will win this battle easily and the football club coaches will just have to learn to deal with it.

Kaka, World Player of the Year

And very well deserved! AC Milan and Brazil midfielder was voted the World Player of the Year, winning the "Golden Ball" award.

Kaka is by far the best midfielder in the world and the best world has been after Zidane retired. Kaka has been a key play maker for both Brazil, his national team, and AC Milan, his club team scoring and assisting in many goals. Although his moved to Real Madrid is now even a better possiblity, but AC Milan vice president Adriano Galliani beleives that could give Kaka even better motivation to stay with AC Milan where he calls a "fighting team".

Congratulation to Brazil and AC Milan fans, because they have the best player of the world playing for them.

FIFA Narrows Down World Player of Year Candidates To ...

C. Ronaldo from Manchster United and Portugal, Kaka from AC Milan and Brazil, and Messi from Barcelona and Argentina.

I think these choices are good and well deserved. I can't think of any other person that should be in the last list. These three are absolutly the best players that have been very instrumental in both their club teams and their national teams.

C. Ronaldo is a young fast magician. His ball control and his speed are amazing and he is getting better and better in passing and free kicks. He has scored some essential and winning goals for Manchester United and at this point, he is the winning card of the red devils.

Messi is another great player that currently plays for Barcelona and Argentina. He is also key players for both teams that teams can't do without. His new title is Messidona mainly because of his technique and also scoring a goal with his hand last year against Getafe.

Kaka, is THE PLAYER for Brazil and AC Milan right now. With AC Milan under performing and Ronaldinio from Brazil now shinning like before, Kaka is standing out for both teams.

He is also my choice for the world POY award. His style of play fits all type of players and all teams. He is not much of a dribbles like C. Ronaldo or much of goal scorer like Messi, but he is absolutely THE BEST PLAY MAKER in the world right now. His speed with ball is amazing, and his passing ability and play making are next to none.

If the POY select committee in FIFA do their homework correctly, they will realize C. Ronaldo is too young to be the next World Player of the Year and Messi has not been very consistent. Kaka is the type of player that should be the WPOY award. He score goals, he makes great passes, he is fast, he has great and humble personality, and he has class.

Asian Player of the Year (POY) Award

Yasser Al-Qahtani from Saudi Arabia won the Asian Player of the Year award Wednesday and while discussing this issue on Iranian soccer forum Irankicks.com, an Iraqi member brought up a very valid point. Since Iraq won the Asian cup and since traditionally AFC POY are given to best palyer of the team that wins the title, this POY award should have gone to Younus Mahmood from Iraq.

Younis Mahmoud was also my choice because was very instrumental to Iraq's win of Asian Cup 2007. Yasser Al-Qahtani is a great and consistent player but according to traditions of AFC in the past, should have gone to Younis Mahmoud from Iraq. This has raised some concern around the Asian soccer fan community on how AFC decided to change the tradition and the system to pick the POY. LA Galaxy Loses to Sydny FC but Beckham Bails Himself Out

Jose Mourinho also Expresses Interest in England Job

According to Fox Sports, beside Klinsman who said he could be interested in England job, Jose Mourinho seems to be also interested in the job.

"You will have to speak to the FA to see if they are interested in offering me the job" he told to the Sun reporters after asking him if he was interested in the job. Jose Mourinho has been without a job since he left Chelsea.

I personally think he would NOT be the right choice for England. One can be a great club coach but that does not necessarily qualify him for national team coach. I have read alot on Jose and he is the type of coach who wants to be in constant control of his player, training them to adapt to his style of play. That is very possible when you are coaching a club team because you have the players you want every day of the week, year around. But in national teams, you only see your players a few days before the big game and then you have to work your tactical magic to lead the team to get results you want.

Jose however has one advantage. He has coached current England national team players like John Terry and Frank Lampared and is aware of their potentials and weaknesses. But my choice is still Klinsman who has better success record coaching a national team. Germany national team in fact! He brought out a losing team into an attacking style winner team that reserved the third place in the world cup.

Iran May Have a German Coach

According to Goal.com and other sources, Winfried Schafer the German coach who coached Cameroon national team is close to deal with Iranian Football Federation (IFF) to be first Germany coach for Iranian national team. The other candidates Vanderlei Luxemburgo and Peter Reid have been reported to have rejected the offer.

IFF currently does not have a president, more verifiable news are expected to be available after IFF election.

England will play Croatia AGAIN

According to Associated Press, it seems that England will have to face Croatia again for World Cup 2010 qualification. After failing to qualify for Euro 2008, England lost their first spot seeding and fell into second spot, where they were seeded in the same group as Croatia. While the Croatians are happy to get England again, the Coratian coach is not very happy about it.

He said "It is a very, very hard draw because they are by far the best team from the second pot. The only team I wanted to avoid was England. We are not afraid of them, but they have got a terrific team and brilliant players. They should jell and they are going to jell".

On the Asian side, South Korea and North Korea will face each other for qualification, although South Korea is the favoirate, but due to political differences, the teams often try to avoid each other.

US also have a great chance to face Cuba, as we all know, two countries are at political odds.

But this could be a good thing, it has always been said sports usually bring nations together, and in world cup 1998, this came through. Iran and USA met in world cup finals, and despite all tensions, the players played a fair and freindly game, even took pictures together and exchanged gifts.

Klinsmann Interested in England Job

According to Sky Sports Jurgen Klinsmann maybe interested in England job if the conditions are right.

Klinsman is among one of the favorite soccer coaches among England soccer fans because os his success at Tottenham Spurs and his ability to turn Germany, a dying soccer power back on power trail, and lead them to third place in world cup 2006.

Klinsman has said that "the conditions must be suitable" in order for him to take the job. He currently lives in beautiful and sunny southern California and is involved in US youth soccer programs. Klinsman was offered the job for both Los Angeles Galaxy and US national team, which he refused since he could not agree to terms.

Euro 2008 without England: Who to Blame?

England failure to qualify to Euro 2008 has put a lot of blame on the coach and as the result he was sacked. However I believe the blame should go beyond himI believe the following people should be blamed for England soccer team’s failure and loss to Croatia:

1. England Coach McClaren for wrong arrangements: Wrong tactics, suddenly benching Beckman and Robinson, and not having a well thought of plan. English players were lost, their defense was weak, Carson their goalkeeper did not belong there, and David Beckham came in too late.
2. The FA: Because they cut Erricsson’s contract short because of his personal life and media pressure. English media and general English public did not like not having a non English coach who was from Sweden.
3. The Players: England has major issue when it comes to players. They key players are often injured for key games, or out of fitness. In this game, Rooney, Owen, and John Terry were inured. Beckham just recover from a long injury and Robinson was out of fitness. Also England players lack modern soccer creativity and play similar to each other, hence they become too predictable.
4. English Media and fans: Often too much pressure is put on England players, coaches, and FA officials from the fans. England media and fans put too much pressure on FA to sack Erickson who was a great coach. Also big coaches are always afraid to take the England job because of heavy Media and fan pressure and their biased and unfair criticism.
5. Egos and Arrogance: English fans and players are often a bit too arrogant and not realistic enough about their true stand in the world and their true abilities. Let’s face it, most of top English Premier League teams such as Chelsea and Arsenal often play without even one English born player. And England national team does not have players like Zidane, Ronaldino, Messi, Kaka, or C. Ronaldo.

Ok I am going to stop here. I know there is probably enough critisizm going on at England team and I just wanted to make sure that blame goes beyond just their coach!

A Big Mistake: Beckham to be Benched Against Croatia

According to various reports, it seems that Mr. Steve McClaren who is currently coaching England national team, may bench Beckham for the Croatia game.
The motives are unknown but unless McClaren has something in his sleeve, this could be a big mistake that could cost England the Euro 2008 and certainly McClaren his job and his reputation.

Just a couple days ago, in a friendly game against Austria, it was off Beckham's cross that Peter Crouch was able to score the only goal of the game. With Michael Owen and Rooney being injured again, it is up to the tall striker, Peter Crouch to score goals.And who is better to send high crosses for this tall striker other than David Beckham?

After McClaren dropped Beckham after the world cup, he saw better that he could not get any result without him. That's why he invited him back to England national team. And he is about to make another mistake again by benching him. Unless he has some tactical tricks up his sleeve, I think is making a huge McClaren by Benching David Beckham.

Houston Dynamos winning the MLS cup for the second year in a row proved current MLS strategy is wrong! This strategy that is based on brining more people to the stadiums by brining over paid soccer players such as over paid David Beckham, the Brazilian start Danielson who is over his peak, and the Mexican stat Blanko,

Don’t get me wrong I have nothing against these players. I enjoy watching David Beckham bending it, Danielson dribbling through 3 players, and Blanko put up a good show. But these people are only individuals who are past their peak and won’t be able to bring up the MLS quality of match and therefore average soccer fans would prefer to watch regular EPL, Serie A, or La Liga game over MLS games.

MLS is reaching out to people wrong. They need to improve the quality of the game but investing in home grown players, better coaches, better facilities (soccer stadiums as oppose to NFL football stadiums), better media contract, and better marketing strategy that has long term goal in mind.

Soccer is a growing sport in US, but is has its own speed of growth. And I believe MLS needs to grow with the sport and not rush this growth for sake of money or brining people to the stadiums. Start with home grown talents, give them what they need, and let them lead the soccer in this country.

MLS Cup at LA for 2008

It seems that MLS cup will be at LA for the third time past 6 years. Regardless of who the contenders will be, LA will host the MLS cup of 2008, which could give competitive edge to David Beckham's LA Galaxy if they make it that far.

I can only think there is two reasons MLS has decided this move.
1. The Home Deport Center in Carson city is a nice soccer specific stadium that is capable of hosting this cup without worrying about NFL games being scheduled on the same day and stadium.

2. Media Attention: MLS is often pretty successful in filling up the stadium for that day but not so very successful to get better media attention. Well with LA Galaxy, the new home of David Beckham, hosting the MLS cup, that problem could be solved.

Absolute and Unquestionable Dominance

Today while working at the Soccer Store, I got the chance to watch the Euro 2008 qualifying game between Sweden and Spain.

What I saw today was absolute and unquestionable dominance by Spain. And that is something that you don’t see often from this team. Unlike the usual, the Spanish team was in synch and worked greatly as a team. They work totally as a team, they had a plan, they implemented, and they scored three goals while being in complete control of the game.

Sweden had absolutely nothing to offer. They rarely had any chances (with exception of one offside goal by Ibrahimovic). If the Spanish side remains consistent, they may well be a contender for the 2008 Euro title.

Michael Owen Injured Again

In a friendly win against Austria, England's striker Michael Owen was injured after straining his hamstring. This injury put a dent in England's hopes to qualify for the Euro 2008 tournament even after Israel beating the Russians in a beautiful game in which Israel played a counter attack style of the game to beat Russia which gave would help England to qualify.

It is very noticeable that Michael Owen has been injured many times in recent years and that has made him ineffective for both of his teams, England national team and his club, New Castle United. His Absence last world cup cost England the world cup , his continuous injuries has put New Castle United in a bad spot of the table as they have striking problem, and now with his new injury, England is going to play without one of their strikers against Croatia.

Injuries do happen and Michael Owen is not at fault, he is the victim. But other victims are New Castle United and England national team, who invested heavily in him only they keep finding out he can't live up to expectation due to his injuries.

England needs at least one point against Croatia. That is not hard to achieve. Without Owen, they should play with more defense in mind, contain the game and have more ball possession. FIFA Trying Goal Line Technology Again

It appears that FIFA is going to try the Goal Line Technology (GLT) again for the next club world cup which is in Japan at the end of 2007. Last time they tried it was not successful. Apparently they have come up with a more updated technology and fixed the issues they had when they first tried it in the U17 world cup. If it is successful, this technology will be implemented for next world cup and all the international matches.

This technology is basically a microchip planted inside a soccer ball which sends signals to the ref when the ball crosses the line which helps the ref to determine if the ball went in the goal or not.

I am personally not 100% sold on that. I like technology in general and like to stay up to date with it, but I really believe there is a better solution for the refs to find out if the ball crossed the line or not. And that is to have more assistant refs. Just like tennis, basketball, and other sports, if there are more lines men and assistant refs, there will be less room for error.

David Beckham Will Play Austria

Not that he only plays, he will start as a right winger. I don't really understand why Steve McClaren has asked him to stay aside after the world cup. I think Beckham played just fine. Scored a couple of goals, made a couple of assists . What else can you expect from him?

I can only suspect that pressure from English media had something to do with it. Those guys need to get a life! They need to recognize that England lacks home grown talents. It is well obvious when you see top four teams of the Premier Ship rely so much on their foreign players.

Beckham is one of the true talents they have and they need him and it seems McClaren has recognize that fact and he is going to use the guy because after many failures, he recognizes he is going to need David's leadership and play making.

Drew Carey and Seattle Gain a MLS Soccer Team

According to Guardian Unlimited, Seattle is the latest city in US to have a professional Soccer team and a long time LA Galaxy fan, Drew Carey now has a reason to switch to his new club since he is one of the owners of this new MLS franchise now. Other owners will be Hollywood movie studio executive Joe Roth, Seattle Sounders Managing Partner Adrian Hanauer, and the Vulcan Sports and Entertainment (VSE), the owner of the NFL's Seattle Seahawks.

This new franchise will become the 15^th team in the league following reinstating San Jose franchise in 2008. It is important to add that that Seattle is also home of Seattle sounders, first team division

You will start seeing changes in this blog. I am going away from business postings more to sports in particular Soccer. It only makes sense that way for me to talk more about Soccer. Because my wife and I own a Soccer Store and soccer is also my passion.

I will be covering soccer leagues such as English Premier League or EPL, the Spanish La Liga, Italian Serie A, Germany Bundesliga, French Liga 1, Mexican FMF Liga, Iranian Premier League or IP (yes I am an Iranian American if you can't tell by my name already) and our very own domestic professinal league, the Major League Soccer or MLS.

Liverpool Destroys Besiktas 8-0

Liverpool revive its hopes for Champion's league next round by defeating the Turkish club Besiktas 8-0. Yossi Benayoun from Liverpool got a hat trick by scoring three goals, Peter Crouch scored twice, and Steven Gerrard scored as well.

Liverpool remains third place behind FC Porto. Liverpool must finish top two in order to make it to next round.

My two cents, it's never too late. 2004 Champions league champs have the potential and they continue pressuring for the next round. They well showed they are capable today and they just need to keep it up.

Manchester United Unable to Stop Arsenal

Arsenal vs. Manchester United soccer match ended with a tie today and the result of this game keeps Arsenal on top of the EPL table with more points. Arsenal remains unbeaten so for for this season despite prediction of many that Manchester United was there to end that.

William Gallas scored an own goal while trying to defend Wayne Rooney's shot, then my favorite player Cesc Fabregas scored the equalizer for Arsenal. Cristiano Ronaldo scored the second goal for Manchester United and Willian Gallas made up for his own goal by scoring a goal for Arsenal in injury time leveling up the game keeping the Gunners on top of the EPL table even they have played one less game than everyone else.

Bring It On Red Devils

I really want to see how Manchester United is going to host Arsenal this season. I am a huge EPL fan, and although currently I don’t have cable to watch the EPL games, but I follow them online. This Sunday, Arsenal will be hosted by Manchester United, a game which is hard to predict. Arsenal is doing great this year. They haven’t lost a single game and have had only a couple of ties. Last week, they tied Liverpool at Liverpool’s stadium, but they gave Liverpool a hell of game. They had over 60% of possession with more shots on target and a couple of missed chances. Arsenal remains on top of EPL table right now, even having played one less game.

Manchester United on the other hand has a good record of beating Arsenal. They ended Arsenals winning streaks back in 2004 by and they won the EPL season last year. They have phenomenal players such as C. Ronaldo, Rooney, and others. Also they have home advantage with very fanatic die hard fans.

Even though this game is going to be hard to predict, but I will predict a tie. Arsenal’s coach is fully aware of Manchester United and their strength and their weaknesses. I believe he will come in the game trying to contain the game with goal of grabbing a point therefore a tie but soccer ball is round and can do at any direction so don’t be surprised if this game results turns out completely different than expected.

Brasil 2014: Going to Brazil

According to Associated Press Soccer World cup 2014 was awarded to Brazil, or should I say Brasil. I have never attended a single world cup game. Not even in 1994 world cup when the tournament was here in LA. I was too young and tickets were too expensive and no family member was willing to take me to the games.

I missed out big time on that world cup and I regret it day by day. In 1998 world cup that was hosted by France, there was also no chance of me being able to make that one either because it was right in middle of my college years where I was on limited budget and my entire focus was to transfer from the community college I was attending to a real four year school. So I let that one go, and in 2002 world cup which was hosted jointly by Japan and South Korea, there was no way in the hell a college graduate like me would have any chance of making it. I was too busy looking for job.

In the most recent world cup, the Germany 2006 world cup the opportunity was there for me to go to those games. All my favorite players were there, most of them one last time to play in this world great sporting event. My brother, my cousin, and their friends were able to make it to that world cup but I ended up doing something even cooler. My fiance and I opened Soccer Nation, our very own soccer store in San Diego county in city of Vista.

We were watching the soccer games lives while selling the jerseys and we did have a blast. It was a great feeling and it felt like we were part of that world cup. We were among a very few stores that still had many world cup team soccer jerseys in stock and that helped us with our popularity.

2010 World will probably be out of reach for my us. I am not sure if South Africa is a country my fiance and I want to visit. Also we will probably be super busy during that time too. But 2014 world cup, which will be hosted in Brazil will be a goal for us. We both love Brazil, specially my fiance. She knows some Portuguese and loves Brazilian music and culture. I like the country too specially their culture and love for soccer for them is "a national passion".

Nike Buys Umbro!

There was much talks going on Umbro future considering their financial ups and downs and, as I predicted Umbro got bought out by Nike. $582.2 million was the amount of take over for 61% of the share.
It seems Nike are Adidas are competing even in buying out other brands. A couple years ago, Reebok was purchased by Adidas and now Umbro was purchased by Nike.

The future of Umbro is still unclear, but I predict that Umbro will stick around to reach out to more old school customers that Nike could not. Also I see England National teams and few others changing their brands to Nike!

San Diego is Burning - Day 5

Radio stations have returned to their normal programming and the city mayor is taking credit for incredible job has been done but fire is nowhere to be 100% contained. According to news sources, fire is only 30% contained. The fact that many residents in San Diego county are still away from their homes, and some areas, they still being ordered to evacuate, shows how serious the fire threat still exists.

Sure the air quality was much better and many in San Diego were sleeping better last night but fire is still there and threatens lives and homes of many, so let's focus on it until it is absolutely 100% out! We need to pray for God's help for better and more humid weather conditions because it seems that we humans, despite all of our technological advances, are still despaired when dealing with the most primitives of natural, Fire!

San Diego is Burning - Day 4

We are in day 4 of San Diego fires and it is still burning the San Diego county. A good portion of Rancho Santa Fe, where Bill Gates and a bunch of other rich people have a house there, has been burned. But those people are least of my concern right now. Many of them don't live there anyway. That is their San Diego vacation home. They probably have crazy insurances too that probably make money off this fire.

My concern is for ordinary people who work hard daily to maintain their only homes. It's true that FEMA , State and Federal government have stepped in with financial help, and the governor's spoke person assured that they will make insurance companies pay up to what they have promised, but I still foresee a lot of unforeseen problems.

Also more sad news, more people have died from the fire. Today they found two more dead body.

By the way Bush is town "inspecting" the damages...no comment on that...not yet at least !
